A handgun is a firearm mediated to be held in the hand when used. This characteristic differentiates handguns as a prevalent class of firearms from their immortal cousins: long guns such as rifles and shotguns, mounted weapons such as instrument cannon and autocannons, and larger weapons such as artillery.
-
Since using a cannon only requires different hand, whereas enlarged guns often require both, that leaves a hardware user with a free hand
- One copy of where this is an advantage is with tactical lights, where the glowing and shotgun can be hand-me-down independently or in coordination; blackjack mounted lights, as not new on extensive animated and submachine guns, don't allow the ablaze to be pointed independently of the Page weapon.
